Download the nRF Connect app (free on Google Play or App Store). Open the app, tap Scanner, and power on your generator. Your generator will appear in the list — note the MAC address shown (format: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX).

1 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the GenSync mobile application ("App") or any GenSync hardware device ("Device"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use GenSync products or services.

2 Description of Service

GenSync provides remote monitoring and control functionality for compatible generator models via a cloud-connected hardware module and mobile application. Remote commands including engine start and stop are transmitted over active network connections. GenSync is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any generator manufacturer.

3 Safety and Proper Use

You are solely responsible for ensuring safe operating conditions before issuing any remote command. GenSync assumes no liability for property damage, personal injury, or death resulting from improper use of remote start or stop functionality. Always verify that the area around the generator is clear, properly ventilated, and safe before issuing remote commands. Remote commands expire after 60 seconds and will not execute if the device is unreachable due to dead battery, empty fuel tank, loss of connectivity, or fault conditions.

4 Subscription and Fees

GenSync services may require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis. GenSync reserves the right to modify pricing at any time with reasonable notice. Failure to maintain an active subscription may result in loss of remote monitoring and control capabilities.

5 Intellectual Property

The GenSync system, including its wireless communication architecture, protocol translation methodology, cloud integration design, and remote control implementation, is protected under a pending United States patent application. Unauthorized reproduction, reverse engineering, or commercial use of any component of this system is strictly prohibited.

6 Disclaimer of Warranties

GenSync is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, network availability, or command delivery within any specific timeframe.

GenSync provides remote monitoring and control through cellular networks, WiFi networks, GPS satellites, and internet services operated by third parties. GenSync is not responsible for service interruptions, data delays, missed alerts, failed commands, or GPS tracking gaps caused by factors outside our control, including but not limited to:

• Cellular coverage limitations at your generator's location
• WiFi network availability or reliability
• GPS signal obstruction or satellite unavailability
• Internet service provider outages
• Mobile device, app, or notification service failures
• Physical damage to the device or its antennas
• Customer-caused power interruptions to the device
• Force majeure events, including storms and infrastructure damage

Customers are responsible for verifying reliable cellular and/or WiFi signal strength at their generator's installation location before purchasing. We recommend testing signal on-site with your phone prior to buying the GenSync Device — WiFi + Cell + GPS variant.

7 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenSync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. GenSync's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8 Modifications

GenSync reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States.

1 Coverage Period

GenSync warrants that each GenSync hardware device will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase by the end user.

2 What is Covered

• Defects in materials and workmanship of the GenSync hardware module
• Manufacturing defects that cause the device to fail under normal use

3 What is Not Covered

• Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, fire, flood, water ingress beyond the device's IP rating, or acts of nature
• Damage caused by unauthorized modification, repair, or reverse-engineering
• Damage caused by use with incompatible generators or accessories
• Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage (scratches, discoloration)
• Damage resulting from operating the device outside published environmental specifications
• Devices with serial numbers that have been altered, defaced, or removed
• Consumables or accessories (cables, batteries, mounting hardware)

4 How to Make a Warranty Claim

Email support@gensync.io with:

• Your order number or device MAC address
• A description of the problem
• Photos or video if relevant

We will respond within 1 business day with next steps. Approved claims will result in repair or replacement of the device at GenSync's option. GenSync reserves the right to replace a defective unit with a refurbished unit of equal or better condition.

5 Limitations

This warranty does not cover:

• The GenSync cloud service (covered separately under the Terms of Service)
• Subscription fees
• Damage to the generator itself
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States.

3 RF Exposure

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body.

4 Modifications

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate this equipment.

5 Industry Canada (IC)

This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

6 Contained radio modules

GenSync devices integrate pre-certified radio modules from Blues Wireless:

• NOTE-WBGLWT — cellular (Telit LE910C-WWX) and Wi-Fi (Silicon Labs WFM200). Used in the WiFi + Cell + GPS variant.
• NOTE-WBNAW — Wi-Fi (Silicon Labs WFM200). Used in the WiFi variant.

Module-level certifications and grant documents are maintained by Blues Wireless. GenSync devices are assembled in accordance with the manufacturer's integration guide without modification to the certified radio design.

1 What we collect

Name, email, phone (optional), generator model, and device MAC address — collected at checkout so we can fulfill your order and configure your device. That's it.

2 How we protect it

Encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on AWS infrastructure in the United States. We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Access, correct, or delete your data anytime — just email support@gensync.io.

1 Information We Collect

GenSync collects the following data to provide its services:

• Generator telemetry data (engine hours, output watts, fuel level, oil life)
• Device location data (when GPS is enabled)
• Command history (remote start/stop events and timestamps)
• Account information (name, email address)
• App usage data

2 How We Use Your Information

Data collected is used solely to provide and improve the GenSync service. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3 Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Upon account termination, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@gensync.io.

4 Third Party Services

GenSync uses the following third party services:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure and data storage
• Blues Wireless — cellular and WiFi connectivity for the hardware module
• Google Maps — location display within the mobile app
• Google Play — mobile app distribution

5 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission over HTTPS, secure cloud storage with access controls, and API authentication.

6 Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us at support@gensync.io.

7 Children's Privacy

GenSync is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9 Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States.

10 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA:

• Right to know: what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell about you
• Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected about you
• Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Right to opt-out of sale: GenSync does not sell personal information, but you have the right to opt out if that ever changes
• Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights
